The weather was good with some light to medium showers. The temperature was moderate and though the trek was quite a climb, the students managed to complete it. The Changsheel Bugyal which is above the tree line has breathtaking 360 degree views across the surrounding valleys. The bugyal itself was full of flowers of all colours and shades. We reached the Changsheel Summit at .11638 feet in the morning, and after a short halt at the top, we set back for Akhoti Thatch a beautiful grassy glade where we had already camped on the 2nd night. The whole trek was interspersed with idyllic spots with gurgling streams, bridges with overhanging trees, water mills, grassy glades laden with flowers and amaranth fields ablaze in red. The boys had a great time singing, dancing and telling stories around campfires every evening. The 41 plus kilometre trek was a exhilarating experience and was completed without a hitch, all's well that ends well!
